does red come out this year ?
That’s what people are saying. No confirmation though.

need it
don’t care for many of the newer AC games but this one actually peaks my interest
mirage was so ass that no one even cared enough to update the thread title or make a new thread for the game
this franchise is truly done and i will rather buy unity for the third time before i ever buy a new game of theirs
What’s the best AC for combat and no ship battles? On PS5 feels like I can play most if not all but not sure which one to pick of the newer (post AC2 - last one I played)
Seems like Unity and Valhalla get mentioned often

Just get rise of ronin if you want good combat

Been looking into it honestly. Is it really difficult?
so you played the worse version of the game not once but twice, to make a point for whom?
I like Kassandra as the antagonist and Alexios is a goofy but likeable lead tbh
How hard would it be to check your previous save files to see whoever you picked and make it the canon ? Pokémon used to do that s*** on the gba
Idk this sounds really good on paper

Unity (paris) or Syndicate (London) if you want fast, flashy looking, Arkham Asylum style combat. You spam square to attack/finish people, hit triangle to do a fire looking parry style attack. Can use hidden blades, swords, small daggers, spears etc all with their own finishing move & parry animations
Valhalla (Vikings), Odyssey (ancient Greece) and Origins (Egypt) are the new combat system. It’s more crunchy and slow, no timed parries. You hit right trigger to hit, left trigger to block and circle to dodge around. Still has cool finishers and even though it’s more simplistic, it’s still snappy and satisfying
To me the games are only as good as how much the setting appeals to you so I’d say see which of these combat styles appeal to you and pick which setting seems coolest to you
bruh the story sounds so good, if the gameplay is better than valhalla this has a good chance to rival ghosts of tsushima

Damn, appreciate that thank you
Is Valhalla worth it?
Idc about it not being much like older assassins creed, is it a good Viking game?

probably the most robust and modern, triple A viking game that'll exist for a long time. its mid and streamlined in comparison to the spirit of assassins creed
but in terms of a fun, addictive, ubisoft type open world action game with lots of gear, weapon styles, skill trees, a huge world, slightly customisable character (tattoos and hair), a village you upgrade, a ship. its all there and fun imo
one of the main mechanics also is pillaging a village with a bunch of your viking soldiers so its great if you like viking stuff
