It's Almost Dry is amazing.
that being said, Earl, Saba, Denzel, and Vince holding that down.
future don’t got it in him no more
id love to be wrong tho
Yea I tend to agree but he’s hyping this one a lot so we’ll see…
Keeping my hopes low
Does it? Because most of these old niggas albums are falling off the charts quickly
The zoomer artists do have YouTube and Spotify streams on lock tho. Polo G Durk yb moneybagg own that market of listeners.

Man there's a lot of mid to late 20's rappers that are nice and have RAOTY in them.
I think Pusha shows them they can have a long term career if they play their cards right
It’s almost like they make great projects too
That’s not who they are lol. They make compilations. But again I get it. Albums aren’t for some people. The kids I coach/tutor couldn’t imagine listening to an entire album.
saying "younger generation's failed" is pretty ignorant and tone deaf but typical of someone like @op who used to be an Eminem stan would do.
Especially when it's mad young niggas killing s*** that aint just the soundcloud hypebeast carti wannabes.
like....yall should check this nigga out (18 years old) he definitely just f***ed around and dropped a dope ass album.

@Jim_Halpert_ you'd like this.
the new gen of artists is healthy and out there ur just out of touch tbh
the only one u probably know is yeat but there's a lot of other dudes in this new generation
Iayze the future
When a 44 year old standup puts out a great special, we don’t say “damn why aren’t the twenty year olds dropping classics?”
Of course the older guy who has more time/funding/experience/TWO OF THE GREATEST PRODUCERS OF ALL TIME would have a great album if they still practice their craft and care.
It would be sad if he was still out here and he sucked. But he also wouldn’t get the platform for us to talk about him like this in the first place if that were the case.
The whole question feels reductionist to me. Like only one generational voice is allowed to lead the genre. How about whoever is talented and put a lot of effort in?
Navy Blue, Mike, Armand Hammer, Earl, Mach Hommy all doing pretty trad hip hop stuff at a higher level than Pusha imo if you’re not into “newer” sounding artists
Love those guys and their sounds and think Mach especially is one of the best rappers out right now BUT they don’t have that expensive sound with the great raps attached to it like Push and that’s what’s been missing imo. I f*** with the low fi dudes but it’s also refreshing hearing high quality sounds attached to great raps

Nah they make good albums lol. It’s just not music for you. You can look at the streams for each song and see that people are enjoying full projects
Youngboy has deep cuts with almost 100 million listens
This gas gotta stop. This is definitely not rap aoty
what’s better? we’ve been asking this the whole thread lol

They just aren't classic albums. By any metric of measurement. Its microwave music. Its trendy and the young kids that are online 24/7 do listen to it. Billions have been served by McDonalds. Doesn't make it fine dining.
