  • EVERYONE should be speaking up about this.

No excuses. Absolutely irresponsible to not make a stand with his platform

    Post Malone releases statement:

Response: “Wtf does he know about the plight of a black man in America??? All he did was steal black culture for profit. He doesn’t know what it it’s like!!!”

    Post Malone doesn’t release statement:

Response: “Why the f*** isn’t Post speaking up? He took black culture for profit and now doesn’t want to say anything?”

when did Post release a statement about black issues? I'm not even tryna be mean here I wanna know lol

well, tbh I think if he said something I personally at least, would take it similarly to how Billie and Taylor did. If he didn't do it all the way right, I'd at least acknowledge how he tried. That's something, more than nothing.

Dude are you serious? Do you see the absurdity of this thread?

F*** a hashtag, he should be donating or using his platform to promote the places where his fans can donate. He's a vulture and owes everything he has to the community that is suffering rn

how do you know he hasn't donated anything?

I like his music, I don't care about anything outside of that when it comes to Post Malone.

    same

i understand the argument that big-name rappers have a lot of presence at influence, and should therefore be using it as a platform to speak on issues

but the truth is a lot of these celebrities either dont care, are too far removed from the situation to appear as genuine, or sometimes simply not even eloquent enough to express a view thats worthwhile. i think there are worse things to be focusing on than ‘why hasnt _ said anything yet??’

You’re right and I’m sure a lot of people would take it like that as well

But there would definitely be people saying the stuff that I made up in my post.

That’s why i don’t think anyone should be made at anyone for not speaking up. Some people just don’t want to be involved in controversy and there should be nothing wrong with that.

True. People are always gonna nitpick and say it's "not good enough" and some of the things you said in your earlier post. We (as a group) have complained about black and white artists not speaking and when they did speak something was wrong with it.

Drake's wasn't good enough cuz he didn't go out and protest, Beyonce had a bad filter and her eyes looked weird, Billie's was just a PR move to pander to the people, etc.

It's never gonna be good enough.

I don't. I said he should be and if he is then he's doing the minimum that a person in his position should be

Not his place to speak up. I’d be more concerned about the black artists not saying anything. And even then, I wouldn’t be very concerned overall cuz it’s their life. How about you do the most you can to support this cause and move it forward op?

    His is dumb as s***
