If you’re a beginner I suggest 5x5 of compound lifts mate. That will lay the foundation. But as someone in here mentioned earlier diet is just as if not more important than any program
where are the pulling exercises?
gonna give yourself rounded shoulders with this and a weak back
that's not the issue for me just wanna know if this workout has better alternatives from anyone on ktt
If you can do 100 perfect form lunges in a row I have no advice to give you tbh
1. 10 min Jumping jacks
2. (10 sets) 10 Jumping jacks/10 pushups
3. 100 Alternating lunges
4. 110 Unassisted situps
5. 2x55 Pushup to plank
6. 55 Unassisted situps
7. (3 sets) 10 jumping jacks/10 pushups
I did this today abs might hurt tmrw I dont know yet might do it tommorow too if no one replies with something better
10 minutes of jumping jacks are good, but can be swapped out with a mile run, 10 minutes of jump rope, 10 minutes of punch/kick drills, and a bunch of other cardio. Doing the same cardio every time will burn you out quick.
10 sets of "burpies" (jumping jacks into pushups) is a hell of a lot for a beginner. Id just do 3 to start and build up more and more.
100 alternating lunges is pretty repetitive. Id do 30 lunges and 30 squats and work up to 50 and 50.
Sit-ups have been shown to be as effective as crunches without as much back strain. Id also invest in an ab wheel, which ive found to be a much better ab builder than situps/crunches.
Just do planks to end your set, or something else upper body related. Doing the same exercise a bunch isnt going to get you better results and will instead just make you to sore to do this daily.

LMAOO I DIDNT REALIZE I WAS DOING BURPEES I did like 6 sets though maybe 7 good tips though I do have an ab roller that I just don't use so I can start implementing this now

Haha thats really damn good, but be careful about straining yourself. Gains come from repition and consistently, not one workout a week super cycles.
Also, investing in a 10/15 pound dumbell set will dramatically improve what you can do at home, and usually arent bank breaking

I'm pretty athletic but I don't have any lifting experience

Depends on what youre doing and at what weight. For my arm cycles I typically do 12 a set with 3 sets, and just increase the weight. If you have only one/two sets of dumbells, higher reps will be the goal.
If you want an entire arm cycle I can post it for ya
all u need is a set of dumbbells, a yoga mat, and a place to do pullups and you can be fit as a mfer
pullups key and mfers always forget em cuz they hard

Pullups the most underrated excercise imo
Used to do like a bunch of different bicep things, but 3x10 pullups gets your biceps so much more easily
If you’re doing everything at home, then do circuit training. Guaranteed you will be ripped in three months, but it’s no easy feat
