SRS
s*** i rank Old over AE
I don’t agree with this but idk why people sleep on OLD
s*** i rank Old over AE
I mean only one of those projects has Red 2 Go and 25 Bucks 😏
bigger earl fan but atrocity takes it, if we haveeee to compare but idk
similar subject matter but completely different approaches, reflection, and aesthetics
both push boundaries and are 2010’s classics
ooh okay this is an interesting comparison
I listen to srs a lot more because of its brevity, and yet still find something new in earl's lyrics like every time
but ae has more diverse production/vocal deliveries that I probably would appreciate more if I listened to it more often
If I had to choose one just based off relatability I would say SRS, cause like the themes of failed potential and losing mental clarity hit home quite a bit (still cry after every listen of Azucar)
whereas AE is a bit more going off the deep end through hard d**** which is definitely harrowing but just not as resonant with me (I know d*** use is a huge part of SRS too, I'm just saying there's more to the story there apart from it, at least imo)
that being said, Hell For It has been kinda in the back of my mind the past year or so and becoming quite relatable these past few months and it's been a long time since I've sat and heard AE so I'll have to run it back soon
TL;DR
I like and listen/relate to SRS more but I like the production on AE more and need to listen to it more often

felt this
i think i like AE more just bc the “comedown” feeling of it all resonates with me more than the reflection SRS got going on
crazy to think how young earl was writing and producing SRS, yet got the vision and maturity so beyond his years
srs
I feel like I might have to go with Atrocity Exhibition because it is the far superior project
Ear is one of my favorite rappers but I gotta go with AE the production is on a different leveln on this album
