Netflix, HBO and whatever all on one platform is better and easier for consumers

I’d rather pay $15 than have to buy Netflix monthly & HBO

You’re gonna be paying the same price as you would with separate subscriptions after the price hikes. HBO Max was one of Netflix main competitors

Now it’s between Netflix and Prime

    • Disney+ is struggling and most of Hulu popular shows are from FX

    • Apple TV doesn’t have the library

    • Peacock and Paramount+ are nothing

Netflix can set any price it wants and they just spent billions to acquire WB. It’s gonna be subscribers helping them recoup. Expect price hikes and even more password sharing crackdowns

  • Infinito

I dont want to be a doomer but this is similar to when after the disney acquistion of marvel mfers thought the product was gonna stay the same. S*** was disneyfied to the core

Kinda crazy. There’s a good argument for that deal killing comics as a whole

We’ll see what happens with their new subscription model because if they want to control the streaming space then they would have to control their pricing. And if Netflix comes out with a model that’s competitive to their competitors I’d think those that you listed will eventually struggle in the long run because of their lack of library compared to Netflix now

Less money coming in equals fewer greenlit projects and lower budgets across the board

Budgets are already bloated in the first place. They're struggling because their model is relying on tradition that isn't even viable to many families and consumers at this point. Let alone several times a year

KPop Demon Hunters cost Netflix the production budget ($100M) + an extra $20M to purchase from Sony and look at the business its doing them and its success even being put in theaters for screenings and special sing a longs. Netflix didn't have to spend much marketing it either cus of their platform. I'm not being pro-Netflix here just describing at how different their model has been.

There's other ways to make money this industry needs to think of...fast. We're several years overdue on this. Like it needs a revolutionary structural change and i don't think that urgency has been understood at all by Hollywood

Yeah for the highest tier with no ads, maybe

Whether it’s a $10/$15 price increase, it’s still good for consumers

This isn’t good for anyone but the shareholders bruh

Man this really bums cuz some of my best life experiences with family and friends have been in a movie theater. I really would like for my grandkids/children to also experience this
