And it’s so apparent how s*** so many streaming era movies look. The fact they’re all forced to adhere to a certain aesthetic has ruined a lot of things.

It’s telling that A Quiet Place pt 2 looks so much more distinct and like an actual movie unlike Godzilla Vs Kong or even Roma which just look like any other movie from their platforms

In captain marvel when she convinces her friend to fight a war with her as a former Air Force pilot and her daughter tells her she would be setting an example for her by fighting for something and neglecting her parental duties, that is as fascistic as you get

And a democratic funded social justice message is to focus on police brutality by presenting all cops as racist yet refusing to discuss how the history of government/neoliberal journalism in media and woke politics has all contributed towards this system and most art will not do that because it contradicts the neoliberal message being pushed. It's telling too when you used to have white directors tell stories about black struggle and though they now have black filmmakers doing them, the producers are almost always white liberals and it just shows the classic neoliberal strategy which is to pretend theres change but the same corrupt system is behind it

But that's the Captain Marvel story a core part of her original sell was her being a pilot in the comics. Saying that's fascist is like saying Captain America 1 is fascist for it being about Steve wanting to fight in WWII.
