Nero 92this is why modern day comic book fans are annoying. They can't accept someone else's unique interpretation of their favorite character and will nitpick anything.
like nobody in 2002 was complaining about Peter Parker having organic web slingers and being an average nerd instead of the smartest teenager on the planet but now that's an actual criticism from man baby comic book fans.

It still isn't believable in 2022 imo and most people accepted it because it was a cool idea that made sense. Raimi was trying to make Peter more relatable by not making him a super genius.
I think losing his powers had less to do with wanting to recreate running out of web fluid moments from the comics and more to do with Peter's arc about not wanting to be Spider Man.

wasn't hyped for Batgirl but for a studio to just delete a movie like that is wild. Makes me hate people who fan boy over studio execs and major studios over actual films & their creative teams even more.

But see pulling from one strict canon restricts the creator. Matt Reeves for example isn’t pulling from one iteration of Batman for his version, he’s pulling from many. That Batman is just one of many different on screen Batmen.
I’m not saying I want a Batman who uses a AR-15 in the movies but there’s precedent for Batman using a gun. Restricting creators of these adaptations to one canon just makes for more cookie cutter capeshit
