This show is goat already, but I feel like a live action series adaptation, in the right hands, has the potential to surpass GoT's peak popularity. I dont see it happening tho. The necessary budget would be astronomical.

It better be
Directed by Nolan x Isayama
Edited by Del Toro
Screenplay by Scorsese
Or else I don’t want it
One thing I would like to know is WHY specifically the Hallucigenia was in that tree where Ymir fell, and why it attached to her and how it caused Titan powers
Its label as the "source" (which does tie into real-world research and discoveries of the Hallucigenia Sparsa being a primordial lifeform) tells me that it was just living dormant in the water and would have attached itself to any human/life that could pass by, whether it was Ymir or another person. All of that is to be said unless it's revealed that Eren somehow influenced Ymir and this lifeform to interact in the final chapter. The tree itself could also be extraterrestrial and acting as a vessel which carried that lifeform as well tbh.
As for the powers it granted, unless Yama specifically tries to explain that in the final chapter (which I doubt at this point), then it'll have to be chalked up to fictional reason.
In an ironic way, the life of that Hallucigenia in the water prior to Ymir kind of parallels with younger Eren looking to the skies and saying "I wish something would happen" as its life wasn't much of anything while alone.

Your last paragraph is an incredible point, one of my theories was that Eren either influenced the Hallucegnia, or WAS the hallucegnia who knows lmaooo
Anyways, for your 2nd paragraph, for the Titan powers the hallucegnia acted, through its ancient and potent life energy, as a life-preserving parasite for its host, which is why titan-shifters become giant, AMPLIFIED versions of human beings, and NOT giant Hallucegnia (think about it). It’s main objective is staying alive and it ensures it’s hosts can vessel it through becoming literally giants to crush others.

It's also cool to point out that researchers originally believed the round end of the lifeform to be the head, but it's really a stain where its innards/decay/liquids are forced into due to the taphonomic process. So by consuming that part (like the spinal "fluid" as stated in the series), you're essentially ingesting the preservations of that life (mirrored in the series by becoming an inheritor of a titan and the memories that is then passed down).

Normally I don’t like anime live action adaptations
But if done right, this COULD be the exception

no reason for them to do that

sounds pretty damn realistic
should go without saying, but do not click that spoiler tag if you're not caught up lol
If this comes to pass AOT getting the crown for sure lmaoooo this really crazy man
And for the anti-shippers, if you were doubting all the way up until now then Ch. 130 alone should've revealed that they cared for each other when during his flashback conversation with Zeke it was revealed that he lied to Mikasa about being a slave to a host, and Zeke saying saying that she "just likes you so much that she'd snap a titan's neck in two for you"
Hell naw

Bruh that's why I said "in the right hands"
Also, I'm pretty sure Hollywood is already developing a movie adaptation - which will prolly be ass cause the story is way too dense to fit into a movie (even a trilogy wouldnt be enough tbh)

It would just be hard to do imo
Even with the best hands

Yes, he's done it already when he announced the rumbling

Nah it could def work as a live action series (if we were to eliminate budgetary constraints)
A movie IS planned, but yeah - narratively it will prolly be ass.
S1: Humans vs. Titans
S2: Titans vs. Titans
S3: Humans vs. Humans
S4: Ackermans vs. Yeagers

LMFAO absolutely not
LMFAO absolutely not
So youre saying this story (which already is super popular) could not reach an unprecented level of popularity as far as live action properties go? Yeah.. aight
