think it's my favorite chapter. it's actually SO good man
fam i dead think its one of my favourite chapters in manga IN GENERAL
ok wait we gettin s\*\*\* mixed up. when i say rushed, i dont mean in the normal way most manga s rushed to get an ending so they can release anime.
i mean it in a writing technical term type s\*\*\*. his intention in this scenario doesn't matter. if he thought he could make a good ending with 45 pages then that's cool, but he completely failed, and instead of releasing a satisfactory ending that was normal pace-wise, he INSTEAD released an ending that was rushed.
yeah that s\*\*\* was quick asf, the speed made it feel more anti climatic than anything else
people are also obsessed with shows giving them some life lesson to base their existence off of. Dislike or like something all you want but chill out with that s***.
So in the end his talk with Pixis really did play a role in the outcome
The official translations might make a few of the dialogue points a bit clearer, specifically when Eren talks about Dina going after his mother instead of Bertholdt

"thank you for committing mass murder"
"thank you for committing mass murder"
Yeah that's DEFINITELY getting rephrased lmfaoooo
People don't wanna hear this but has been consistent with Eren's character from the start. He wanted to A. Erase titans from the world B. Keep his loved ones safe C. Free his people. He just chose to go about doing all that alone. Again the translations are rough but I didn't get the feel that it was because Mikasa called him "family" like people are saying, seems like none of this could have been avoided no matter what and he was just fighting it this whole time
As for Historia yeah it's definitely disappointing that her child has no real significance, seems like it really did fall under the "B" category of Eren just keeping a friend safe by having her remain pregnant so she couldn't eat Zeke and inherit The Beast, while also remaining on Paradis far away from The Rumbling
By the feel of the chapter it also seems like after his official announcement of The Rumbling he used Paths to send a farewell message to those he felt closest to (Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Connie, Reiner -- maybe Annie and Levi) knowing he'd die in the end and he didn't want that to be their last memory of him

this ending gonna be divisive as f*** when its animated next year. I binged manga starting from last week up to this chapter so no waiting to read just one chapter. Chapter 120-139 might be favorite storytelling in any medium ever, f***ing poetic, I sound pretentious but basic anime watchers wont f*** with the ending too many levels to this i'm too baked to explain. Overall personally for me perfect ending last twenty chapters especially
yeah, regardless of no matter WHAT happens, i don't really imagine me hating it, unless it was just downright awful (which i guess it seems to be to some ppl lmao). i'm not super picky on an ending, and honestly after chapters like 119-123, 131, 138, i really can't ask for much more
119-123 is as good as anime gets
But yeah after reading it people definitely exaggerating the hell out this s***. You may not have liked it personally, but it made sense and that can't be argued. Niggas saying it was a GoT ending, lemme tell you there was no rhyme or reason as to why Game of Thrones ended the way it did. SnK's ending will be divisive but it is logical (and not a horror show like some would have you believe lol).
What makes you think he rushed it? The mfer took 11 years of his life to make all of this and you really think he rushed it or someone made him? Just accept that this is HIS vision and how he wanted to end things.
It could have still been rushed. Kubo wrote bleach for 15 or so years and the ending was 100% rushed.
I don't think that was the case here, just pointing out that your argument that "he spent 11 years of his life on it" doesn't hold much weight.

character arcs for AOT all wrapped up incredibly well actually f***ing idiotic to compare it all to GOT's ending

Yeah anime twitter annoying as hell with s*** like this lmao, GOT had the Night King be useless, Jon Snow be a Targaryen for no reason, Dany forget about an Iron Fleet and become a Mad Queen out of nowhere, and killed all of Jamie's character progression in like 3 episodes
You got none of that here, just say you would have liked a different ending and there's no argument lmao. But this definitely jibes with themes that have been there from the start, so a lot of the angst is people just wanting to complain about something.
Overall, pretty disappointing. I wouldn't say it was awful, like some people have here. AoT will still go down in history as an all time great, just like Naruto did even though it had a mid ending. Felt like I read Code Geass again at the end, lol. I don't think this should take away the rest of what Isayama did with the series though. Still fantastic, up until the final sequence IMO.
