any chance that eren had of even being that definition of "normal" went out the window as soon as he got to rumbling. what i thought was the reason for eren's sudden shift was his future sight from kissing historia's hand + reinforcing his visions from exploring the outside world accelerating his character development and forcing him to grow up with that type of resolve, which is what made him one of my favorite protagonists. eren's emotionality and inner turmoil was always hinted at too but 139 defenders are capping when they say that it was obvious 99% of eren's post-TS actions were just straight lies, including his own internal monologues and outbursts of strong emotion

Yeah, there was no other option for Eren. If he wanted to secure a future for his people this is what he had to do.

ending was inexcusable. there is war before his rumbling plan and war after it. so what was the point? “i won’t leave it up to fate” but that’s exactly what he did? it made no sense for them not to do the 50 year plan if world peace was unattainable anyway. he basically did a partial rumbling, so he could have done this on a smaller scale and accomplished the same result.

the happiness and optimism of the characters in the end is undeserved. eren didn’t accomplish anything. and them hailing him as some martyr is silly.

there’s not a war yet, Eldia is getting an army ready and are prepared to fight but armin etc are gonna calm them down. Eren also said that the rest of the world would be too crippled to fight eldia even if they still hated them after saving the world so he was still looking out for his people and if he only did a partial rumbling, there would still be Titans and the world would still be terrified of Eldians because of it

Eren is the literal reason they wamted to commit that genocide, and in the end, they were all justified in wanting to do so. There's a point where you have to acknowledge that Willy Tybur had a point in his speech. The founder being in Eren's hand possessed an existential crisis for the rest of the world, and they tried to solve it before it became real.

Think the point that there is no silver bullet for war was made in the first arc of the story of so. What the rumbling has done has given an opportunity for everyone to sit on roundtable and come to an understanding where they'll go heading forward.

Eren definitely had choices, Zeke's plan was to simply use the rumbling as a bluff, that alone would bring everyone to a position where they can use diplomacy, he could also have targeted just military bases, he had choices, but he chose to kill 80% of the world

Zekes plan was bad, he wanted to euthanize all the eldians, essentially dooming the eldian people because they can’t have kids anymore. No more eldians after they die out. A partial rumbling would only delay things, the rest of the world couldn’t be one hundred percent safe if the rumbling could still be used

I'm only talking about Zeke's plan with regards to the rumbling, Everyone knows it's quite a b\*\*\*\*made plan overall, but the point I'm trying to put accross is that Eren had several choices, and he chose to try destroy the world. Saying he did because he had no choice just takes away his agency in the entire matter, it's not like he wasn't being given alternatives by his brother and friends. It's basically the attack on Liberio all over again
