It was befitting. It makes the MOST logical sense to happen. It did leave me saying “But, wait, there’s SO much more left on the table to discuss”, but it’s like Jodorowsky’s “mountain”, where the entire audience kinda looks at it and accepts it, like “Oh. So that’s that.”.

One of the reasons a lot of ppl felt off about it, was that the plot/story went from being this wild conspiracy/philosophical debate of right & wrong, to the end just “being” and being very factual with real human emotions and interactions. Nothing “God like” about it.

My personal ending for it, 100%, was going to be much better. I shared it in here a while ago. People who loved the series strongly agree and say that that would’ve made the best sense. Lemme know if y’all want me to pull it up again (I’ll hide it in a spoiler tag obv).

Interesting. They might go the GoT route and give the anime a different ending, forcing the audience to consume both the manga & anime to determine which one they prefer.

Alternate Alphabear ending:

Eren destroys 80% of the world. Eats all Titan-shifters through combat. Returns to Paradis and sits next to the tree. He begins decaying into the tree as his body mutates into the “all-life centipede” (because he has all titans in him), Historia gives birth to a girl named Ymir. In the epilogue, show how the rest of the world attacks Paradis, a now grown Ymir runs for shelter/refuge and decides to hide in the tree, she falls and the last panel is Eren’s Centipede reaching out to a falling Ymir with the words: “The sad thing about mankind, is that our history always finds a way of repeating itself”. FIN

BRUH, finally watched this show during the past two months and it has been such a worthwhile and fulfilling experience, reading the manga now and got like ten chapters left, what a wild story
