Annie ends the whole show seasons ago if Eren didn't have that fire in him

His aggression is more or less the driving factor behind Eldia ever having a chance in the first place lol

Not his biggest fan but his drive/perseverance was insane, I admired that part of his character as well

I think early Eren was just emasculated tbh. Like Mikasa was better at everything that he wanted to be good in so I don’t think it’s hate more than being insecure. Historia and Freckles >>>>

    You’re right

Still praying they drop season 3 of Code geass even though it’s not needed

I’m not sure how they’d come up with another dude with that power, but they still have both of of Lelouch’s closest friends and CC to work with

I could easily see a reboot working

Post-time skip Armin is absolutely pathetic imo lmao. Genius Armin before the timeskip was goat though, I actually hate what they did to him

I honestly don’t know if I ever liked him that much but yeah, up until he gets the baton passed from Erwin, he at least has a real role that he executed well

Armin is worse than Eren lol

Eren is likeable for pretty much 99.99999% of the show

i jumped up in my seat and yelled “no“ when levi said he made the right choice by keeping armin alive instead of erwin. the one and only time heichou wasn’t spitting facts. but i understand his reasoning behind it, so it’s alright.

armin played a very big role in eren’s character development. he was like a trigger to him. every time he mentioned the outside world he kept feeding into eren‘s delusions. but because they were still kids there’s no one to blame here.

i think post ts armin got away with stuff because he was rational enough for people to rely on him as some sort of moral compass. opinions on armin‘s character were mostly set in stone whereas eren‘s was constantly changing

if there’s one thing i learned from this anime it’s that you should never judge one’s character until the very end and always be open to embrace change.

i’ve seen plenty of anime and also read a fair share of manga (berserk, monster, kingdom) etc and none of them ever made me like someone i didn’t like at first. except AOT.

apart from the first few episodes which were obviously very traumatic, i never really cared for eren. i always admired his drive and motivation to keep going, but other than that i didn’t really care. also, i felt bad for mikasa because, well, you know.

anyways, until the final season i did not give eren’s character the fair chance it deserved to be genuinely understood.

when you think about all these characters who stood for something “noble“ like erwin, levi or hange and then look at eren, all you can see is a selfish little kid clinging on to life and trying their hardest to protect itself.

however, this is what actually makes eren the most “human“ out of them all.

he was not supposed to be the “chosen one“, the savior to end everything or the perfect moral hero. no, he was always just eren. eren the human who gained some power.

and the fact that he managed to even scratch the surface of becoming a savior by being a martyr for his folk is a huge accomplishment and actually all he needed to do. nothing more and nothing less.

i think eren’s character is one of the most interesting in anime history and i’m genuinely glad i was able to enjoy this masterpiece
