FOREVAi was about to reply to your other message saying the ending is code geass in worse, but you are right that it was easier to pull of in CG. and lelouch was an actual genius too. however i still find the reasoning behind eren‘s rumbling very questionable

I’m just saying I’ll take 3 years with content in parts over waiting 4 years. I got into AoT in between that time frame and ended up reading the manga because I was impatient

I thought Mikasa was a God like Ymir. I thought she was the one trapping Eren in her own time loop. I thought this because of the Lost Girls OVA, the butterfly imagery, and the part right before Eren came in Titan form S1\. It seemed to me like Mikasa had the ability to travel through time. With Eren, I thought he was into Historia, not so much Mikasa. I actually thought he hated her in some twisted way.

Idk what else you want me to say lol, he's a likable character lol. His story is likeable, he has consistently likeable quips, he is put in very interesting moments, his story is great, anything that could make a character likeable, he is likeable lol

I’ll take it a step further. Albeit this is probably not the case.
Mikasa isn’t just inspiration for Ymir… Mikasa IS Ymir reincarnated without “life”. The headaches she gets from “opposing her host” is actually Ymir within her. She says things in S1 that we are led to believe Mikasa is somehow the key to everything (rewatch it, it’s not fate that’s keeping her alive). Truth is, she is and Eren even says it in the finale
Think about this as well: In the end, no matter the character, everyone got their “wish”: Gabi, Falco, Pieck, Reiner, Annie returned home to their family. Connie had his mom revived. Armin got to cross the sea. Jean got to make a family with Mikasa (shown in Night Before End, that wasn’t a dream; I’m sure Eren showed him that) Eren got to protect his friends. But what was Mikasa’s wish? For Eren to live. Which unfortunately was what she had to let go to end it all

I think early Eren was just emasculated tbh. Like Mikasa was better at everything that he wanted to be good in so I don’t think it’s hate more than being insecure. Historia and Freckles >>>>
