Tip for using multiple reverb sends:
Plate reverb, pan C
Small room reverb, pan hard left
Medium room reverb, pan hard right
You can use whichever type of reverb you prefer. This is what I use for vocals.
edit: make sure these are mono reverb sends

I still find it difficult to judge this multiple reverb stuff on vocals
How much is too much and what is the purpose of using different reverbs on the source? Wouldnt it be easy to overdo and make a mess

The easiest way to not mess it up would be to use short decay times and turn up the reverb until its barely audible in the mix, starting with the center reverb. Then you can tweak from there or automate.
Also I will edit my post to clarify the reverb sends should typically be mono if you're using more than 1.

Idk I struggle with this as well
I think it comes down to not being over critical and going with feeling.
Making sure the timing in on the correct bpm can help as well

As far as multiple reverbs I think for me it can add atmosphere to the vocals and help blend it into the beat better
@sab follow back tryna send a dm

Preferably ones who do rap

Has anyone noticed the odd mixing/placement on 34 35 by Ariana?
Not bad just odd

What about it specifically? I haven't listened to the song yet, but I will.

Give Examples of the weirdness asap! I wanna hear what you’re hearing.
@Everest
@bigcaddy
Okay so this is going off the “control group” of the vocals if they were being placed directly on beat perfectly
But the pre hook is directly on beat, not moved a notch to the left or right on the vocal track
When the “I don’t wanna give you up” comes in it’s moved to the right(I think) by a few notches because the drums are clearly a little faster than her voice
Then for the actual hook “can you stay up all night” it’s back on beat
Then the flow(not engineering) and placement and design of at least the first verse is designed like a rap verse like Thug/Roddy, it’s just Arianas voice so you really gotta try to hear how it sounds like I’ll say Roddy the most

It doesn't seem off-beat to me. You could be right though.

It’s not off beat the vocals just not directly on the drums, it’s like a millimeter to the right on the whole “I don’t wanna give you up... “ 4 bars
The snare hits slightly before the word “you”and the following rhyming words
Then when it gets to the “I been drinking coffee” it’s back directly on beat or maybe even slightly late
