It really takes a lot for me to get focused when I’m listening to audiobooks. Plus there’s nothing like having a physical copy of a book in your hands lol.

there's just something about holding a physical copy of something that just makes it so much better... even when it comes to music, i still prefer CDs or Vinyl over Digital

It depends. For me I like physical books the majority of the time. I remember I went a full year listening to nothing but audio books using Playster and Audible. Got through like 150 of them but also forgot about 90% of what I was listening to.

But on the flip side, listening to an audiobook then reading that same book helped me learn a lot. I would do this with difficult reads like books from Nassim Taleb for example.

Ultimately got tired of Playster's app (ugly UI, kept crashing, limiting selection at times) and how expensive audiobooks from Audible were (are). I might start listening to them again this year though

Never thought about listening to the audiobook first and then reading the book. You’re on to something here, family

  • Jan 25, 2020

I like reading at my own pace be it faster or slower than whoever’s reading

  • Jan 25, 2020

I prefer books than audiobooks, ion even remember half of the ones that i've finished except the first one i've listened to.

  • Jan 25, 2020

I prefer physical books because I like the actual experience of reading, especially if it’s a book I really like

I’m special... I like to have the audio book on in the background at 1.25x or 1.5x speed while I’m reading the books so it’s like high school reading Romeo and Juliet

using Bobby hundreds this is not a t shirt for example

    1. Use the circled search bar to search for book and if it finds it then click on title of the book

    2. Once you are on the book info page scroll down to find the dl link. Make sure it is an .epub file. click on link and it should take you to a tiny-file page w your ePub file

    3. Once you are on the tiny-file page click Download

    4. Click download again

    5. Now it should be in your ibooks

I read everything physically the first time. Rereading I usually use audiobooks.

  • Audio books are ok but i dont really like digital mostly because the screen on my phone just makes it difficult to pay attention and engage fully trying to take in a lot of information at once and it gets straigning. I want an e-ink kindle to see how that works for me but physical is always the best option for me for reading.

I should probably listen to the audiobook and read the book at the same time
