Think this has more to do with upbringing not wanting to hit children. A lot of people itt probably grew up getting beat, so that’s how they were taught, so that’s what they believe is the correct way for disciplining children.

I think you might of heard about another country doing that. They may have talked about it for the US, but it was just that, talks with nothing getting done as usual lmao I think in the UK they got that s*** taken care of asap because of how bad it was getting in FIFA.

A big reason why legislation for that is taking such a long time in the US is because, shockingly, there are politicians in the US who are shareholders in companies like 2K and EA who make money off of those predatory microtransactions. They have less incentive to do anything about it because they stand to lose a good amount of easy money. Think the most they did was have the ESRB acknowledge that there are microtransactions in a game. I have yet to see them describe it as legitimate gambling smh
