Neytiri for sure one my favorite characters
Zoe Saldaña the GOAT
The destruction the human ships caused at the beginning was so brutal and well animated, reminded me of nausicaa valley of the wind
Neytiri for sure one my favorite characters
Zoe Saldaña the GOAT
She killlllled it with all her emotions and facial expressions
Pandora/EYWA the daddy
Feel like she’s gonna be a major character by the end of all this
I cannot wait to see the behind the scenes of this film.
I need to know how they pulled off some of the stuff in here
so im confused on the villains motives in this
he wanted revenge but only hunted jake who didnt even kill the holder of his memories? lol

because Jake betrayed him
About an hour into the movie I thought it was visually mindblowing but wasn’t yet convinced they’d made a good story that was lacking in the first. By the third act I was all in, walked away really impressed.

The Avatar only remembers up to the point before the final mission in the first film so i can see how that would be the priority over Neytiri. His last memories are all anger at Jake and he never knew how he died until he saw the vid. Even though she was the one with the killing shots the finger is still gonna be pointed at Jake since it doesn't happen without his "betrayal."
Original Quaritch was def more obsessed with the idea of betraying fellow troops than the enemy doing their job
thats the only parental figure who ever showed him love tho
neytiri was boutta kill his ass
thats what im saying
it was pretty clear he was still considered kind of an outsider at the beginning of the movie. jake and ney didn't gaf he was captured LOL
i think their building up an arc for him to feel unwanted by them and leaning towards his actual father
Idk i feel like Spider has the makings of a future antagonist as well. There's clearly something that never got resolved for him
He's already an outsider, saw Neytiri kill his dad, kinda built a soft spot for Quaritch's Avatar, then Neytiri (who he was kinda scared of now) cut him, used him as bait and didn't acknowledge it for the rest of the film
Gonna be interesting since he's much closer with the other children

oh damn you just said it too
That immortality fluid gonna end up being mad important in 3/4/5 huh
amazing movie

yah i def feel like what Neytiri did left a bad taste in his mouth, obviously it worked out but I feel like you could see a sense of feeling betrayed in his face after helping out their family for so long and basically being "other'd" by her in that moment even if it was for the greater good. Him going back to get Colonel kinda confirms this for me.
idk if this has been touched upon itt yet but i def get the sense that they were setting up Kiri in this film to be the main kid in the next film the same way Lo'ak was kinda the main kid in this one (obviously the film didn't really have any set main characters but u get what i mean in how he's kinda the main focus/is the one expressing many of the main themes of the film).
Things like the connection she feels to Grace and her epilepsy were touched upon but not really expanded upon, feel like they're gonna go more in depth with these aspects of her in 3.
i was watching a review
and some dude was bringing up so many points i disagreed with as criticism
like when he referred the the kids tryna kill jake's son by leaving him alone in water he was like "KIDS DON'T ACT LIKE THIS WAY'
bro this is a primal species wtf is he talking about. if you're from an outside tribe ofc they dgaf if they're younger/not noble
