I feel that but the plans were only pushed back by one year, and we still don’t even have a release date for X-Men yet. I think their plan with the Mutants was always to focus on them after the Multiverse stuff, so that way they can send-off the Fox Universe and introduce the new cast of mutants simultaneously.
I believe that Phases 7-9 will be The Mutant Saga
Pushed back a year now in retrospect. During the time of Covid s*** was unknown what was going to happen. It’s not hard to believe they contacted Chris as a back up just in case they can’t fully flesh out new plans. And clearly they s*** hasn’t gon according to plan like they wanted.
@fader im not sure if you touched on this but one thing I’m not seeing talked about is after endgame Marvel thought X men and F4 would be the next big thing and what they wanted to put the major focus on. But obviously COVID and other factors pushed that back by a lot.
Hell we still don’t even have Blade and that was a huge deal when the fox deal happened. It’s not hard to believe that niggas thought in 2021 “hey let’s see what’s good with Chris being he’s an already established face in MCU and this F4 s*** might take some time”
they definitely put a LOT of faith in F4 being a smash, not sure what happened there
seems like they got in their own way, there was a legitimately good movie somewhere in there
I guess i will watch this but this looks mid. hes clean shaven instead of handsomely bearded too

F4 was a good movie but it didn’t dominate the box office like they probably thought it would.
No superhero movie in 2025 did, even Superman, which was loved by almost everyone, performed relatively okay at the box office. It was just a mediocre year for superhero films financially
How is it speculation? Kang was a major part of the Loki series, and the showrunner for Loki was hired in February 2019, before Endgame came out.
You seriously don’t think Feige & Co. were establishing their 2020s plans before Endgame released? They said they always have a rough outline of stuff mapped out 5 years in advance, so back in 2018/2019 they would’ve known where they would be by 2023/2024
Because you’re speculating that Cap and Kangs journey was mapped out 7 years in advance. Yes it’s speculation.
Did they know Kang was gonna be dropped and replaced with Doom?
Bro idk if you’re a writer or a creative but sometimes inspiration hits you randomly and you switch up something you originally planned. We don’t know unless a writer comes out and says it.
Marvel if you’re doing Mr Sinister please let me write the X-Men, its floor in quality will be Into the Spider-Verse, its floor in Box Office will be Inside Out 2
Connected film niggas itt get this to Marvel please I’ll give you a cut
I got you, have some connects who got Kevin's ear

1000% bro. I thought all this was obvious? They got to the point of thinking, we don’t need RDJ and Steve anymore, we about to now go big with F4 and x men. S*** didn’t go according to plan.

solid movie not enough vavavoom to really sell the family dynamic
Was it ever confirmed that there was a completed script at some point?
With these type of movies the script is completed once the movie is on theaters

What I’m saying is that Kang was chosen as the Big Bad of the Multiverse Saga, and the project in which he was introduced was in development before Endgame’s release.
Due to the nature of his character being wrapped up in time travel, it’s not a stretch to assume that Steve’s actions would’ve been taken into account if they were playing with the idea of introducing Kang.
It’s like… let’s say there was an Infinity Stone referenced by name in The Incredible Hulk back in 2008. The logical conclusion one would make is that Thanos would be introduced at some point in the future, right?
It’s the same with Kang and time-travel. A major character like Steve Rogers affecting the timeline as much as he did would absolutely be brought up if Kang’s name was being thrown around in the writers’ room. There’s just no way they would’ve overlooked that
N.E.R.D
Nobody
Ever
Really
Dies
Except Uncle Ben.
Unless it's the 6160 Ultimate version of Uncle Ben.
solid movie not enough vavavoom to really sell the family dynamic
I would love to see the OG version cause they definitely had a special vision for that team, its the type of movie where im sure a lot of the s*** they left on the cutting floor would've helped to enhance the overall experience. suits definitely mandated that s*** to be under two hours
I got you, have some connects who got Kevin's ear
Hopefully the Russos will drop some KTT hints in the movie
I do wonder are we getting a separate F4 team in the golden timeline/universe than the one Pascal team or are they just gonna stay in this universe ?

Speculation bro.
And this is why it’s wrong, because you’re saying all that yet Steve was never on screen with Kang, right?
So how is it they had all these plans of Kang and Steve yet they never showcased any of that?
And you can argue “that was the original plan for the new avengers movie”….but they are still bringing back Steve without Kang being involved anymore. So the correlation you’re running with is speculation bro. Unless a writer comes out and confirms “this was my original plan” the point still stands that Endgame was intended as a send off.
That doesn’t change.

I rlly like the cast they have now but it depends on how committed they are, like the F4 NEEDS to be a staple of the new MCU. ~10 years commitment easily. not sure if any of them have signed the multi-film contracts that used to be the norm back in the day

The simple truth, whether there are people willing to admit/accept it or not, there is a superhero fatigue. Which makes sense given that people haven't caught onto the multiverse saga after Endgame. And...James Gunn is gonna have an uphill battle earning people's trust after that Zach Snyder DCEU horseshit.
All in all, I don't mind the fatigue from the general public because the superhero movies that came out this year I enjoyed for the most part. Thunderbolts, Superman, and Fantastic Four were still solid even if they didn't make as much in the box office as Marvel and DC had hoped.
Let superheroes return to being a niche, if it means the movies themselves will return to good quality stories and characters
Speculation bro.

Doomsday is dealing with timelines and multiverse stuff, that still ties into Steve’s actions. The name of this saga is The Multiverse Saga after all.
And we know why Kang and Steve were never seen on screen together that doesn’t have to be answered lmao
And it’s not really speculation as much as it is taking two puzzle pieces and just putting them together
Hopefully the Russos will drop some KTT hints in the movie
They about to sneak in a split second edit of Doom's mask looking like this
@fader i think the real issue here is you’re giving them too much credit. I think you foreseen a great idea involving Steve and Kang and assume they had a similar idea. Good idea, but doesn’t mean THEY was running with that.
Also wasn’t Chris evans contract up? You gotta factor in that if Chris wasn’t down to renew a contract and go on to do other things they can’t just “plan storylines around him”

would love for nothing more than this but unfortunately impossible considering who is making and funding these movies
not even being dramatic but if doomsday/bnd/secret wars don't perform (and I think they'll do numbers), I feel like the future of the mcu is looking real murky. these niggas severely ramped down/cancelled stars wars movies like they were nothing...licensing will always go hard and keep things afloat but who knows about the films themselves
The ending of Endgame
Chris Evans contract expiring with no signs of renewing it
Passing the torch to Sam
Things said in interviews about his arc being complete
Plans for x men and f4 to be the new major focus
Lmaoo how does none of this mean the original plan wasn’t a send off for Chris????
Aside from F4 last marvel thing I watched was Multiverse of Madness
How the hell is Steve Rodgers back
