ive been holding this one off for a minute bc i didn’t want to believe it myself, but holy s*** im seeing a lot of niggas (and latinos, and pretty much every poc) that becoming alt-righters every day now. so much so that i fully believe now that it’s “cool” to be far right at this point. what the f*** happened man bc biden, while far from perfect, has been doing a seemingly ok job given the circumstances. has social media and “the culture” rotted niggas brains this much? i need to know cause goddamn man
@Nikedufflebag gon ahead and say it fam
niggas still salivating from the $1500 they falsely think Trump gave them 4 years ago
s*** is bad under genocide joe and niggas too ignorant to look outside the paradigm go for what they perceive as the dude they think will “make america great again” lmfao
assimilated people tend tend to get absoreded into the status quo, like italians and irish of the past hoping to get the taste of what “white” is
not sure if this article answers the ur question but it’s in the sphere regarding indian americans and their assimilation

People lack political education and their perspectives still only exist in the American political binary
The democrats have only given lip service and unfulfilled promises for decades, so for many the only other choice is the R party
In reality, minority communities must divest from the mainstream structure and build strong political alternatives
I think it’s because we’re moving into an era where people are beginning to appreciate social conservatism more and more. I’m seeing more and more people my age getting into their faith. Usually either Christianity or Islam. The left has done a poor job of appealing to this demographic.
One thing I think is weird is the hard anti immigration/anti migrant stance a lot of these types have as they are 1st/2nd gen Americans themselves
He (biden) lost with covid it was over from then
It's like objective to say that we should not have locked down everything so aggressively since most people caught it anyway

2nd gen children aren’t immigrants themselves so they don’t know the hardships of it and such, they’re much closer related to americans that were born and grew up so they tend to be culturally more related to them
80% of anti immigrant 2nd gens would spit on their parents if they could
Class realignment where Democrats are becoming the party of the educated upper-middle class and Republicans are becoming the party of the working class, plus greater racial integration on both the economic and social fronts making people less likely to vote by their race, plus Trump aura

what’s the basis of the republican being a working class party other than their own words for its. Their as much a middle class party as the democrats they just represent a different faction
also most immigrants well speaking about indian americans at least tend to be middle class and came from middle class families
Yeah I’ve had a similar experience around me. Most people ik are Latinos and they’ve memed their way into being right wing basically. Pretty annoying

Just the vibe not the policies
Plus Trump being anti-establishment

the anti-immigrant movement is very interesting cause 10 even 5 years ago it was very different. now some migrants in some cites are wylin sure, but the hate against them is very unjust to me.
Trump is a pop star. He's a folk hero to a lot of dumb people. Who are they going to get behind when he dies? Lol

social conservatism will never make any sense to me
social conservatism will never make any sense to me
I understand the appeal. It can be very safe and comforting. Nuclear family unit, religion, community, etc

Tradition is tried n tested. Breaking down of tradition usually leads to s*** getting messy and uncomfortable. It’s not hard to see why a lot of people want to gravitate back to tradition

Spot on
People want to go back to what’s comfortable
They remember having more money under trump and think it's gonna go back to that. It's not lol
