imagine explaining to a zimbabwean that they should've accepted a "two-state solution" with the colony of cecil rhodes.

"im not telling Palestinians to accept a two state solution"

im not telling anyone to do anything i'm lit just saying at one point palestinians were considering a two-state solution so to simply say it could have never happened is just not true whatsoever

That’s completely fair but rereading your posting in the context of a modern segmentation, it’s a bit confusing why it was brought up in the first place. But maybe I interrupted a very localised conversation as I am from nowhere near here!

^ ehhh, her and other Palestinian ppl that live in America they feelings kiiiiiiiiinda hold a lil more validity.

The PLO dropped the ball in the 90s and had they let the women continue running the show, handling the negotiations like it was planned to, Palestine woulda been in a better situation. (Source: Naila and the Uprising, saw it few years ago, @Snowboy lmk if I’m f***ing up details)

Slingshot wanna troll (dumb wigga, still love you tho) but it aint really that complicated. The year before oct. 7 happened it was already said to be the most deadly year for Palestinians in the West Bank. 234 had died.

And as someone that was outside when we was protesting Sheikh Jannah years ago, Palestinians been getting the s*** end of the stick for a looooong time since before the Nakba

I keep asking people since october 7th, “what should they have done?” And to this day I havent gotten an answer.

THEM NIGGAS DID A PEACE MARCH TO THE GATES AND IDF RETURNED FIRE.

They killed a nurse that had her hands up and tried to plant idf propaganda that she was hamas shield by literally mistranslating and piecing apart an interview on some muchdank s***.

what should they have done @Slingshot ?

and Not gonna touch on the arrogance and gall to throw a rave literally in a warzone but I been asked “who tf organized that” and niggas give me crickets each time. If this was 2008 I’d almost get in my conspiracy bag and say the powers that be planned that s\*\*\*. But Yahoo wouldnt do s\*\*\* like that. Right?

And now it’s hit biological warfare cause niggas brought back polio out of retirement. That’s how unlivable Gaza has become now.

It’s gonna be a lot of people in the world that are gonna have to walk they heads in shame in the next 5 years.

Yall have fun with that on ya conscience!

yes but who were these palestinians? in any struggle their will always be a right-wing oriented toward opportunism and sellout-ism, this is a given. you have to actually believe that those who chose to fight for national liberation were correct instead of searching for an "authentic voice" in the sellout category.

I can't give you exact details of how many people supported the PLO, but it was a majority and it was enough for peace talks to happen. I know there were other groups/people in Palestine that actively were against Arafat and I recognize that if a two-state solution DID happen there would be an uprising BUT that was recognized in the negotiation in the first place.

I'm confused by the last two sentences in your statement

I'm saying you have to support a legitimate national liberation stance even if it puts you in a minority position because when s*** inevitably hits the fan, you will be in a stronger position. in the case of palestine, the masses were those who did not support the normalization efforts of the 1990s because they were inevitably doomed to fail. it wasn't a matter of how those negotiations were implemented, so long as Israel exists their would be a conflict since the zionist entity is built on the premise of dispossessing arabs of their land.

the parties who refused to put down their guns in the 90s basically saw into the future that we are currently living through and were proven correct.

How can you say it was inevitably doomed to fail when nothing was signed? The attempt for any peace treaty failed when Rabin got assassinated. It's not fair to look at it and say it was impossible for the treaty to be upheld because it eventually would be broken.

Literally as I'm writing this the more I think I understand your sentiment. Even if Rabin did not get assassinated and a peace-treaty was signed; the right-wing party would eventually win in Israel and the peace-treaty would be destroyed. I do know though that it is unfair to say that it was never a possibility and one point and to say the PLO was wrong is unfair and to act like a substantial amount of Palestinians never supported a peace-treaty at one point is also unfair.

The reason I think like this is because it's annoying when people say Palestinians never wanted peace as if to villainize them and dehumanize them. It just is not true, and its also true that if Palestinians never wanted peace its in their right to fight back for their land. I just want to make it clear that I'm not against Palestinian freedom and I'm always on their side no matter what because I still believe that they are justified in their fight for freedom whether it be peaceful or through violence.

You spitting mostly, but where did you get the part about women leading the Oslo accords supposedly leading to a better outcome?

The very premises of those negotiations (normalizing the Zionist entity, without even the guarantee of a Palestinian state) is the problem, not Palestinian men. The PFLP and DFLP, communist Palestinian parties, both rejected the negotiations, and both had male leadership at the time.

It is completely unnecessary to downplay the militancy or righteousness of Palestinian men like this, especially when the main propaganda piece at this moment is the demonization of Palestinian men as rapists, and most of the Hamas fighters and victims who died of this genocide are male.

We should be more careful about spreading these sorts of narratives that can lead to unnecessary divisions among Palestinians, especially when so many Palestinians (inclusing many women) are pushing back on this demonization of Palestinian men
