I don't understand how this is so divisive. It's not a masterpiece but it's too solid to warrant some of these takes

The depth in the lyrics and being able to be still entertaining/fun is most impressive w this album

the way he casually drops very personal bars about his life or family in the hype songs, but then going in depth on the deeper cuts was super unique. cool way to add depth to the hype songs without slowing them down. it made the pacing interesting for the project overall

Yall got this or GKMC? Both of them were 25 when they dropped so I think it’s a fair comparison

    Kinda unfair

GKMC is considered one of the biggest classics in the genre by a one in a generation type of artist

i love how "complex" keems relationship with women is on this.

one bar he'll be talking about how much he hates fake chicks then follow it up with saying thats why he always has one on the side

  • The beat on Highway 95 II is hypnotizing. It’s creeped up my favorite songs off the album list

if you compared GKMC with every album released by a 25 year old, GKMC would come out on top 99% of the time

Whoever said Highway 95 pt 2 had early Cudi vibes was completely right. It’s the flow somehow despite the vocal tone being significantly different

I mean he’s ALWAYS been this way since his first tapes lmfao

Hoes in the VIP always talkin' ’bout my fashion
I tell her watch her tone, Baby Keem ain't no virgin
B****, I don't have insurance to the wheels because I skrrt it
I just lied to your b****, she want me to insert it

i don’t think it’s Future levels of toxicity, he’s just a young nigga going through the motions with women who lack loyalty and respect. based on how Dot be talking to him on songs too, seems like Keem really be hurt over women he opened his traumas to

    forgot about that one.

Yeah I think what’s fun with Keem’s perspective is how he merges the boasting and the sensitivity, like he’s clearly aware of the dynamic and its effects on both others and him which is a refreshing way to reflect while still being honest to who his current self is.

Totally agree not many in rap can accomplish this
