I was listening to James Brown and realized that motherfucker had released 60 albums in his lifetime. He's got a handful of classics but I'm sure it isn't perfect and there are misses in those 60 albums. And that applies to every artist in existence -- legends create classics and they create subpar albums, simply because their talent isn't set in stone and they just do what they do, regardless of the outcome.
hip-hop has this dumb obsession with 'immaculate discographies' and 'if album has one bad track its not a classic'. I get that its mostly coming from kids who dont know s*** about s*** but I hope we can recognize that and stop putting s*** on those impossible pedestals

Lil Wayne has more bad albums than good, and is a Trump supporter, but he’s a legend nonetheless

for sure. I micro-canceled him and will only play his music again somewhere around December, but that still doesn't unmake what he did to all of us
James Brown was a Funk / Soul artist and back then they weren't album artists.
Most of those "albums" were compilations. To be honest, albums didn't become the standard until later.
this is true but i think it affects you being number 1 artists in your respective genre
like you can create 2 classics then 10 mids records

@theDonandOnly said that most of James Brown's albums are great

I'll have to respectfully disagree.
The Payback sounds like an album to me
That's the exception. Black Caesar and Slaughter's Big Rip-Off are the other two.

Plz be troll
I think this stems from hip hop being a relatively young genre even though it's been around a while now at this point. i think this will become the consensus with another 20 years of it honestly. no way it's sustainable for people to do 20-30 years of good to great stuff, especially in a genre where delivery and pen game are so important
I agree, look at Kid Cudi. One good album, and nothing but mid afterwards.
they not gonna like this

i used to hate playing against juri players in ssf 4.

nah its for clout mostly. a small cancel to show im still in the 'his stance is problematic for how big his platform is so I cannot support it'. think by December ill be in 'there was a lot of confusion at the time so I hope he educates himself on the issues without it affecting his music'.
you feel so good though you should really try it. its like you become super aware of what's really important and able to better yourself and s***
KTT2 hates on Cudi. They gone love this
s*** count me in then
