You’re on PS5? Use the touch pad to get descriptions of effects such as bone chilled, dazed and such. It helped me. Read the BG3 wiki to get an understanding for the dice rolls and saves.

I would’ve bought it full price for my steam deck if it hooked me, no way i’d spend $70 on it knowing I probably wouldn’t ever beat the game.

She’s my favourite companion to actually use in party because I’m s*** and literally just hit people hard as I can - her action surges late game get her like 6 hits per round

Story wise she has good character development and the Crèche story is one of the high points of Act 1

Romance wise I can never not pick Shadowheart

Entirely fair, tbh. Gameplay wise this was out of my usual realms but I’m a stickler for fantasy medieval and the story, breadth of choices, and intricate detail the game offers really sold me.

I think this is my favourite game I’ve played since TW3, and it really restored that same sort of feeling for me.

I can totally see why it doesn’t hit for others, though. Really depends what you want in a game. For the things it’s actually good at — I don’t think BG3 can be topped.

I can definitely see all the positives about it, I don’t think it’s a bad game at all. Probably gonna be one of the best releases this gen, personally I just can’t enjoy the combat.

thinking about getting this but I only have a ps5. is it worth it playing on console if you don't have a PC? I've heard different things about its playability with controller and the interface but I know ktt will give it to me straight

I'm on PC but switch to controller sometimes and I think the layout is great. If anything, movement and navigating the world/camera angles are a lot smoother that way.

Perfectly playable. Takes a bit of getting used to and some mechanics aren't explained, like holding R3 is super important to seeing enemy vision cones when you're trying to sneak and I literally didn't learn that s*** until I read about it and was on the final act.
