Even if you compare Family Guy as a whole to the first 9 seasons of the Simpsons, Family Guy loses. Futurama is funnier as well, prime Family Guy had some great episodes tho.

family guy has some of the funniest sketches in cartoon history but its also since there are so many episodes at this point any misses are clouded out by the sheer quantity of funny skits. seasons 1-4 are like peak comedy tv though, especially 1 and 2
