Its funny because if Cregger made an exact live action adaptation of Resident Evil 1, RE fans would just end up saying “the movie is just a worse version of the source material, just play the games if you want the best experience”

I think MK 2, street fighter , Minecraft 2, Sonic all do well and resident evil

Dude the discourse on my twitter feed from RE fans is some of the most annoying I’ve ever seen. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to grasp that they’re making a new story in the same universe

I think overall The Odyssey is probably my most anticipated “big” movie of the year, but this is my inner sicko’s most anticipated movie of the year.

I get wanting to to see a bit more of the soul of re in trailer that separates it from things we’ve seen before . I’m also patient though and know future movies and sequels coming

I think both sides doing too much

People are being a bit disingenuous saying “ what do you mean it’s not resident evil enough he goes in a house , searches , gets a key and changes weapons throughout movie “

While also fans saying “ why no main characters .give us an umbrellla logo now” are also being silly or have many little nitpicks

I’ve only beat 2 and 3 (but also played bits of others) but it felt very RE to me

Resident evil itself as a game is based on horror movies so it’s kind of what that’s not currently in horror movies as much will they adapt . There is plenty they can do not limited to the characters . We still only know so much about main character so I’m again in regardless . Think zombies falling on cars set piece kind of unnecessary. The door zombie mutant looks cool even if more rat king .
