I feel they should do it a week earlier so that people can get tickets before s*** sells out but maybe they do it week of to let it sell out some first. Spider man was ridiculously late to do it but this isnt selling like crazy

for a director that’s coming off one of the biggest oscar nominated movies of last year and also directing one of the biggest video game franchises the marketing for this seems……low. is it just me?

your mother x3 opens on Sept. 25, so you're honestly better off watching it after the festival for a much cheaper price. apparently tiff lightbox will be screening a 35mm print once it opens up after the festival as well

the rest of those films will also open widely before the end of the year, so i wouldn't stress too much about it (though i will say that if you really want tickets for those films, check back on ticketmaster at random times since seats will open up)

Yeah for some reason it’s just the standard theaters aren’t listing imax . There is imax just longer drive than usual may switch to that for opening night of downtown theaters not doing imax

Reviews for Weapons dropped a couple of weeks before release I think, bet if they do the same with this and it manages a similar level of reception it could kick things into overdrive.

For all intents and purposes from what we’ve heard from people who’ve already seen it, it’s an absolute banger, and the fact that they’re gonna be showing a full third of it later tonight I would imagine indicates a degree of confidence in it.

I fully expect it to be his best reviewed movie to date. Usually the more straight forward and simple it is, the better chance it has at pleasing everyone. I can totally see this getting a 96-97% RT rating

I hope so, the way it’s described makes me think of Sisu 2 a bit, and that movie got great reviews.
