Everyone saying that 30 minute preview of the film is amazing and perfectly captures the feel of the games.
30 min??? might as well just give us the whole thing

Once reviews drop, I expect it to be 55/60mil
If this promo run has proved nothing else it’s that video game nerds and media actually have 0 idea how to interact outside of the video game space

Always been the case tbh. Gamers are a reactionary ass bunch.
It’s crazy cuz gamers will legitimately seek out and watch gamer p*** but the same people will critique game movies and shows as if it was made to specifically satiate them and them only. It’s gooner guilty conscience. Consuming gamer p*** in private that spits on the lore/themes/essence of their favorite game so they feel like they have to wear a cape when it comes to the media they don’t even care about like blockbuster movies or streaming shows. They live in a gaming/gooning cycle from their desktops that prevents them from consuming media with real intent in any other medium.
You can’t tell me that IGN host wasnt just counting down the minutes before his next Princess Peach gooning marathon. It’s like the interview itself was a roadblock between his next gamer goon sesh
This man is never doing an IP film again
Imagine having to listen to people who play video games give critical input on making art. Torture
This man is never doing an IP film again
Honestly good
We need more original films
Gamers are such f***ing babies
Like they suck so much. Any game related thing is always followed by gamers crying about something

RE fans are f***ing insufferable.
And I bet people are going to be begging Cregger to make a sequel after this movie drops, but it’ll be too late, they already drove him away from ever wanting to touch this franchise again
Not really a prophetic call to make but I have a feeling this is going to be ridiculously hard

they interact with the public less. Gaming with less internet culture used to be great was just limited forums, midnight releases and talking in person. Social Media grifters feasted on gaming market more than any othe rmedium
This film has the most Resident Evil-esque type plot you could ask for:
A completely unprepared protagonist is dropped in to an unexpected hellscape where they have to constantly salvage resources in order to survive the night.
Gamers really saw the plot and immediately said “where’s Leon? We want to see someone with big guns shoot zombies for 2 hours”
