This is one of those “I’m an outsider of a horrible situation so I can apply objective logic to this situation” moments.
The dude just shot a woman in the chest that previously he mowed down with his car and is being chased by a ravenous dog, his rational thought is gonna kinda go out the window in that situation.
Some of yall legit sound like you got Cinemasins brainrot going on.
I’m not even sure what cinemasins is but I will say some of y’all sound like insecure little b****es whenever someone points out valid points that isn’t aligned with the d*** sucking you’ve been doing.
Stop replying to me with that nonsense.

It’s not really a valid point though, it’s completely subjective. You’re applying perfect rationality to an inherently irrational situation.
Its also a reference to RE4
If you don’t want to debate merits and instead crash out at counters, then why are you even in here?

So you’re telling me he had common sense to shoot zombies coming after him.
He had common sense to run into the barn and up the ladder to get away from the dog.
He had common sense to figure out an exit route out the back window.
He had common sense to use the ladder to close the barn door.
But I’m doing too much by saying “hey dumb ass clearly you’re gonna need that ladder to get out the window why tf would you just throw it away for no reason”

See this what I’m talking about, you wanted to be disrespectful with the whole “cinesims brainrot” comment but now playing victim cus I called you a b**** ass nigga. Nice try
And you ain’t even saying a valid reason to why he threw away the ladder besides “leave him alone he was stressed!!!”
There are very, very brief flashes of emotional backstory to Bryan’s character, but it is far from a major element of the movie.
The movie is “this guy has to get from Point A to Point B and here is a bunch of scary, cool s*** that happens to him while he’s on that journey”
If there was an attempt by Cregger for there to be an emotional hook to this movie, then we would’ve seen some aftermath from Michelle when he turns into a monster, or some emotional resolution after the major climax
You’re looking at the minor details in the background of what this film is, zooming in on them 200%, and complaining that the movie overall doesn’t accomplish them better, when the whole time that’s not what the movie is trying to even make you see in the picture
But many wanted exactly that lol
Gotta know when to kill the jokes and inject a lil soul
If something feels soul less it won’t be that rewatchable or even draw that much of a reaction from audience . Not saying it needed to be deep . But the conclusion felt arupbt. I didn’t care it was a risky ending I was in fact all for that lol
You don’t gotta be the smartest guy in the room to deliver packages
Also, guys, you’re forgetting that the character is experiencing the most traumatic s*** in his life. Anybody in that scenario isn’t making the absolute smartest decisions on a moment-to-moment basis. The movie doesn’t show him doing anything else super big brained that contradicts with the ladder s*** to where it would make you go “yeah I don’t get why HE did that”. He’s shown to be a regular, average joe
He is suddenly later in movie brave enough to physically grab an acid spewing zombie and use it against another one lol

I don’t care about ladder but the characters throughout this movie were dumb for comedic relief .
Lmao bro…. The nigga looked at the window as an escape route… throws away the ladder for no reason but to antagonize the dog and then gets to the window and says “oh yeah…. F***” like cmon now
lol

But yall pick and choose which reference or fan service makes sense vs what is illogical and at times hampers the plot
You literally say “ it’s like yall wanted the main emotional through line of the story to not feel like an after thought “ no s*** or why did it even exist
lol
Lmao they acting like bro didn’t use his brain to use the ladder to close the barn door just to then say “yeah I’m done with this seee yaaa”
No s*** ima think you’re dumb cus clearly you need it to get down….. umm duh you needed to climb up a ladder to get up there so clearly you will need a ladder to climb down
You literally say “ it’s like yall wanted the main emotional through line of the story to not feel like an after thought “ no s*** or why did it even exist
Zach tries to add in some emotional depth
Fans itt: HOW DARE YOU TRY AND SPEAK ON THE EMOTIONAL DEPTH THAT WASNT THE POINT OF THE MOVIE
Okay but it still exist in the movie therefore we can still talk about it, if he didn’t want us to talk about it why add it in?
If they delivered something to the emotional plot they did throughout the movie I could forgive the dumb characters , corny jokes and set pieces that at times felt like a waste of time.
why even have him get bitten in the first scenario and the audience knows so that we think “oh he going to make it to umbrella and get cured “ . Going into it I knew he got turned but did anyone here think he was going to get there and get cured ? So the set pieces that come after where Maxine dumb action ass hops out of a working car to save one random lady , rooftop scene and sewer scene don’t really do much of anything but aura
The suspense , tension , humor and horror of HOPE was more resident evil than this movie lol
Lmao bro…. The nigga looked at the window as an escape route… throws away the ladder for no reason but to antagonize the dog and then gets to the window and says “oh yeah…. F***” like cmon now
Heard zach say on a true crime podcast I listen to that he wrote this script a long time ago and it didn’t have anything to do with resident evil. You can definitely tell and it would’ve been a good movie on its own.

Exactly and he said this and anyone with eyes can tell
jokes were kinda corny but good movie
The forced comedy started annoying me halfway through
