That is all I am saying even if the fans didnt go crazy on Cregger I feel he did his thing as an opener in the universe and this would be best as an anthology logically. Why would you want Cregger to come back when the story he wanted to tell is completed. Like blessing, produce, read over the script or collaborate with the next director sure but he doesnt have to come back

Nor do I really want Leon, Ada or other main line characters to return.

I would be all for each movie being an origin of a boss like character or notes of someone. If they really wanted to they could do an action star one but I do definitely like the amateur or closer to every day person story . Although wish Maxine got more to work with here even if it was a funny scene of seeing her do the most action wise then dying.

Watched this this weekend in imax

I thought it was a very fun and entertaining movie. I've never played the games. The humor was forced and the girlfriend storyline was pointless but outside of that I think it's a fun watch. I was not expecting that ending

Evil dead 2 inspired the Reddit hipsters for sure but plenty of movies since have tried to over do the quirkiness of that movie to play for the Reddit crowd.

I mean I don’t think what Cregger did was bad. It was just mid. Truth though is I don’t really think there’s any horror filmmaker rn that could do a resident evil movie well.
