Part of me is of two sides I think a movie would be funnier if he real life does meet a merchant . He does use first aid spray or herbs. He does shoot then kicks.

I dont know if gamers truly want a movie where the game logic applies. So I understand why zach made what he made

This was a fun ass movie and I get why it was played this way but Bryan's non-existant survival instincts pissed me off to no end

He’s a braver man than me, movie would off been over soon as I saw the footsteps in the snow

He's being coerced by the corporate state into serving their interests and what happens to him is in line with that. He tried to overcome all his personal hangups about growing up along the way but it's bigger than him. Survival turns you into a monster in this country. It makes you less human.

Him being a dummy with good intentions helps sell it narratively tho. He tries to do the right thing

When the Death Stranding movie is basically this but an hour longer and dead serious the entire time.

Man is super candid and straight forward about what this movie is. There’s more there than meets the eye, but the predominant intent was just to make a fun movie. A palette cleaner flick in between Weapons and The Flood.

I don't get why yall in here writing up paragraphs about this s***. I never played the games but have seen the previous Mila adaptations and this is just a fun horror movie. 1 hour and 30min of just gore and some forced humor here and there. I don't think it has to be anything more than that. I thought Cregger did a great job of making something accessible while still laying down the groundwork for future installments

type paragraphs to discuss movies. I am not a resident evil die hard. I dont hold the past movies in high regard. I came into this just looking for a good movie and gameplay experience feeling. Which some of this worked. rooftop scene they showed at a state of play. fat man in sewer was like "ok". Glad they didnt show too much from the final act. With it possibly being a one off and some moments feeling rushed I wouldnt mind it being 30 more minutes.

liked this even more on rewatch tbh, taking it as it is it's really great. and basically perfectly paced. wish it had a slightly different ending but love most of this
