Did my double feature last night, started with Barbie on standard at 6:40, finished around 9:00 and gave me an hour to get to the next theatre (biggest screen in the city) and hit a spliff before seeing Opp in Liemax.

For snacks, was tempted to get some cold beers but didn’t wanna run the risk of using the washroom for a 3 hour movie so stuck with a room temp Red Bull. Went with with berry Skittles and Glosette for my snacks to keep it humble, popcorn was gonna get me too thirsty.

Would def recommend the experience especially if you have people who are just as enthusiastic to go with. I found Barbie followed by Opp to be a very compelling experience as Opp was a very heavy movie and gave me time to process it afterwards without having to worry about watching another movie

1. Oppenheimer tonight. Barbie I might catch on VOD unless I happen to get dragged into it in theaters in the future. Honestly; probably more likely to rewatch Oppenheimer than see Barbie in theaters

3. Don’t know if Oppenheimer the snack kinda movie

4. 70mm

5. If you were gonna do a double feature, probably better to space them out by a week. You’d be doing yourself a disservice to not let either movie marinate in your head

Yeah I guess I meant it if you plan on seeing both films in theaters. But I think both films are very different in tone and vibe that you may be undercutting both films effects by seeing them same day

From my experience it complimented each other, if both movies were the same tone it’d undercut each other but since they’re on opposite ends of the spectrum I found it to work very well since they’re loosely connected on the theme of existential dread but approached from different tones

watched Barbie at 4 PM, left the theater with the sun still shining (best way to leave) was a great summer vibe and appetizer for what was to come...

got lunch with friends and grabbed snacks to sneak in and stood in line for 2 hrs to see Oppy

Oppenheimer in IMAX at 9:35 PM, left at 1 AM. movie looked insane on that screen. Watched in the biggest 4:3 ratio imax around me and holy s***tt my eyes were being jerked off.

Each movie was great but honestly seeing them both in the same day made both movies even better. crazy cinema experience

Not a back to back but seeing Barbie tonight at 7 in Dolby

Then Oppenheimer tomrorow at 6 in imax 70mm

Prob will get popcorn for both to share with the girl

Watched Oppenheimer at 11:20am then literally adverts before barbie started at 2:50

Got out of Oppenheimer 45 mins ago

Got Barbie in half an hour
