What you are saying literally doesn’t apply to clayface you are just blindly comparing it to other characters . Clayface has an entire backstory of an actor who loses his entire identity . No longer good looking actor and can suddenly morph into anyone . He is a villain who doesn’t need Batman at all to tell an interesting story he is a cursed villain he can’t take the tragedy off . It’s not cause a loved one died .

Again it has the potential to build the world of Gotham to a large degree . Getting to see a tone other than gunns which another director created

There is no way in his right mind he thinks he should do justice league besides for ego purposes . Justice gang was the same kind of team for him of edgy . Superman one of my big gripes was how useless the giant alien plot was . Superman says not to kill it they do anyway and he just shakes his head. Wish there was consequences there of the alien exploding or a bigger alien looking for their child ( yes I know they grew it). At least allude to the future where other heroes respect Superman leadership . He came off very superboy in the movie .

I’d mostly be worried about the tone and look of a Gunn Batman film tbh. Gunn has pulled off serious moments in his films before, but I’ve never watched a Gunn film and thought “I’d like to see what he could do with a darker character like Batman”

This Batman has a robin so only going to be so dark but I get you . I just think the point of a universe is to bring together different creators and writers . Same as the animated series coming together back in the day . Snyder and Gunn both orchestrating their universes and directing , ghost directing or too many notes on every solo movie often leads to failure . Having all these living comic writers and great directors yet just keep going back to Gunn is crazy . Bro went from fired to suicide squad to rehired guardians 2 3 now runs all of dc.
