These two specific interpretations and tones do. not. match. Let’s see how clayface fits in tone wise in the DCU to see how Gotham feels but otherwise it just doesn’t match or jive with the tone of any of the Gunn over seen projects so far .
No one’s saying Batman and Superman can’t have clashing tones we get the juxtaposition but there’s still a limit there. Nothing about Reeves vision so far even remotely fits the DCU one so far
