They aesthetic looks boring based on the trailer. I worry they are attempting to replicate Joker’s griminess while still retaining ubiquitous marketability.

I've only seen her in Mad Max Fury Road and thought she was the worst actress out of all the girls.

Speaking of Suicide Squad, Bruce a b**** for that s*** too. Dude really pulled up on Will Smith tryna enjoy a nice night out with his daughter. Says he doesn't wanna do this in front of his daughter, then proceeds to fight him in front of his daughter. Classic b**** s***.

Bruce has actually employed criminals in the comics (and some films), and helped people such as Azrial and others overcome (not 100%) criminal lifestyle. That won't translate well or often into live action because of how they would like to set things up for him and other characters on the bigger screen.
The Batman deal isn't to exactly comfort them, however. He strikes fear in them with hopes that it discourages (and at times eliminates) villainous activity from taking place.
Does it always work? No.
He shouldn't be looked at as some perfect judgmental figure because he's a scorned, sinful, and imperfect man. His existence as this entity was the creation of violent crime.

Of course, I'd never defend someone like him.
A lot of his different illustrations is partly to blame, but if you believe that someone like him is some noble/needed figure then yeah, you're weird af. He's practically written to simultaneously battle his own demons and others' at the same time all while doing it the wrong way.
