Solid movie, would have preferred less Hanks and more Austin Butler. It dragged a little at times, especially with it being almost a 3 hour movie. Still a solid 7.5-8/10

Considering I had zero care for Elvis and pretty much only saw this cause I wanted to treat my ma to a movie, This was better then I thought it’d be.
Second half carries the movie by alot, same with Austin Butler throughout.
Editing was going crazy first 10 mins for no reason
Baz directed the hell out of this

Better then Bohemian; not better then Rocketman

I enjoyed Moulin Rouge tho because his spastic editing becomes so unhinged that it literally become a David Lynch type art film

Not really musical type but as far as fantasy its a Baz luhrman movie

It does calm down halfway through and become stronger for it but the crazy editing and frantic pace can be a lot especially if you’ve never seen one of his movies before

as soon as they got to vegas i literally didn't see austin butler on screen. also don't think a single shot lasted more than 4 seconds in the first hour

liked it a lot best of the recent music biopoics. should've cut like 40 min. movie slowed down super hard two or three times
