anyways you should keep doing it if you enjoy yourself
Did you listen? It's been a decadenon here lol
i like the texture of your singing voice in both tracks, it works pretty well on both instrumental types
however while im no music theory expert, i feel like u sound a little off-key a couple times in the first track (i know its a freestyle, im just saying there were moments where it sounded unintentionally dissonant)
Should never give up.
This is a hobby but it's starting to sound actually good lol.
its not horrible or anything, not like amazing tho, id say u should try to push ur range a bit, u sound like ur taking it easy haha, on both songs i could imagine someone singing an octave higher and it would sound a lot more engaging
also need to make ur vocals way brighter less roomy, id use an eq take out the lows, cut the mids a bit, boost the highs, maybe use an exciter, dont use a boxy overpowered reverb
ill say this tho which is good, it doesnt sound like ur voice is trash, it just sounds like u need to try to push urself a lil more imo, practice with other songs type s***

Totally get what you mean. It's because I'm freestyling in those songs each one take. I can't go all out confident ly when freestyle singing. So akmetimes is comes of off key or indecisive. I use these as reference and final recording will be gull on.

gotchya, yea i do similar things, but obv if ur not showing the finished product ppl will point out the flaws, might make sense to show us a finished product so we can rly give feedback on your best effort
ik its very nervewracking to share youre recordings, but the way i see it is its a lot less nervewracking than performing so its probably a good thing to get used to if ur srs bout music
I think your voice is pretty interesting but the songs don’t do it justice . I think if you went outside the box a bit instead of what seems to be chasing hits I think you’ll find a nice groove
wether niggas think u wack or dope gang u should still follow your passion and look to improve anywhere you personally feel you need to
Thank you my bro. These are 1st drafts too. Final is gonna be perfect. Tune In
Yea bro. Both of those songs I posted, I made on first take. Hit some kush, put on the beat and just started freestyling. The Wave is 2 freestyles stitched together and the 2ns track is a 2 min cut from a 10 min freestyle.
The way I see it is i gotta male this album so fire thst if people hear the final album they will like it on first listen.
Then it's just a matter of getting people to click play once.

I've had a lot of strangers really like my freestyles and demos. What's intriguing is I get thst exact commnet the most. 2nd is that "it's a vibe or kinda hypnotic.
Most common first reaction is that they love my tone or voice texture. And I agree. Before I heard my own voice on a song I never knew it would sound so nice. On my opinion my voice is aimilar to James Blake or Sampha. My melodies are different though. I'm putting that same melancholy vibe but on top of hard hitting drill drums. With rich vocals delivered in a non chalant way and relatable real lyrics. That's the formula rn.
I cant wait for tou guys to hear a whole album. I've been basically making it for 5 years. I'm gonna go over the lyrics line by line and make it perfect.Same with final recording.
Yall are being very nice in these replies
I'm confused too lol. Ktt used to be worse that youtube comment section.
They are freestyles of the top. Do you feel what I'm trying to go for? Vocals aren't all out because I can't do that freestyling and rhyme
you are using the wrong effects on your voice. There is way too much reverb on your s*** and the songs themselves are pretty trash ngl

Man tou have an ear for music for sure.
The Wave freestyle sounds a little too formulaic and one tone. Promise finals will be larger feeling. I'll song all out and will have harmonizing in the back as the same time.
It's very hard to freestyle without writing first and feel the confidence in the melodies.
My best melodies always come when I got for a long time and end up forgetting I pressed record. Thanks for the feedback tho. I'm impressed you picked up on it being a little claustrophobic.

Yea my production skills are non existent. This was made on my iPhone with a preset on my voice. Thanks for your take though. If you have any feedback in terms of melodies I'd love to hear it

Idk if u made the beats but I think u need slower production for the style you're doing. Also the mix needs work

bro melodies are all intuition idk how to explain it to you. Just gotta get in the booth more, maybe find someone who can show you how to ride a beat. Its better to film yourself performing off your phone to actually get an intuition of how you are coming off and how you are going to perform your songs live if you dont have access to a studio. I would buy a snowball microphone from bestbuy (they are like 100 bucks, x used them all the time) and download a cracked version of fl studio or something onto your laptop and start trying to mix your own vocals if you are serious. If not get the f*** on. Dont waste your time f***ing around on an iphone because you arent going to be able to make any real progress doing kid s*** like that. Network and find people in your city, get a decent mic and start taking it seriously.
