I def challenged myself to do something extra experimental for my boy SAK w the Japanese mix, bc I know he rly gets and appreciates when I go weird w it. was kinda forced to do something cool in one take too bc I literally only had a day left to deadline + week delay after spending an entire month on the club mix which was supposed to be the quick and dirty fun one to do in a few days in the end w where inspiration took me I had to flip that lol.

but the DJing w chrome tabs is something I've lowkey been doing for a long while just to amuse myself or annoy friends lmao. bandcamp tempo adjust is a goated chrome extension to be able to play w stuff without even downloading. it's pretty annoying youtube made speed change a premium thing now tho

also I'll just lore dump u here lol but funny enough my friend DJ Daddy made this rym list last week about exciting new baile talent and included DJ PS2 in that not knowing that I already had this in the mix ha, maybe some more for u to dig in there

her lists are crazy af, especially how many she got lol. also how I first got in contact w her, cause she had this list on the vietnamese underground and I reached out to see if she maybe got something interesting for Ran Cap Duoi (she sure had!!!)

also Ichiko Aoba for me rly links back to my ex cause we saw her live in Belfast and I yolo reached out to her manager before about doing an interview, then literally only an HOUR before the show he was like "yeah sure let's do it after the show!" which I didn't expect at all but was like uhm ok, literally went to the toilet after the show to have a quiet moment and write down a couple Qs off top

...then my phone recording ended up completely unusable and also the language barrier was pretty serious lol, so we re-did it over mail which was a bit embarassing, but it was still those same questions basically. for me just another instance of life being a bit of a movie with my ex. tho honestly around this time we also argued a ton and she was rly difficult also so it's a bit fake nostalgic memories also

Arthur De AFC was making some of my favourite music out of the Baille scene but sadly a lot of his music just got wiped.

Love that you got to interview Aoba though that's such a great story - Windswept Adan was so good.

that track is cool, do u know why the wipe? here's another good 1 I found through billdifferen I think also - rly no expert on underground baile, extremely hard to try stay on top of all the DJ names too lol, but I've found my share of random gems

also my OG Aoba story is that I discovered her through rym back in 2017 and then was lucky enough to catch her at Fuji Rock in Japan on a tiny cozy stage off the main festival that same year - tbh I still prefer her unplugged stuff to the full orchestra sound, also rly cool tho
