You got any recs for entry level pocket/compact cameras?
I’m not too familiar with that realm of cameras, the Canon G7x seems to be quite popular rn & can be found for $300 on eBay (actually the prices might have gone up on this thing in the last few months, which is a shame)
Good video on it
But if you let me know your budget, I can let you know which is best

What should I get for ~$200? I have a A7 iii but I'm looking for a small camera to do some street photography and having the ability to have fun with a small camera
While doing some research the references canon s95 and olympus xz1 come back often but I wanted to have your opinion if you don't have something else to suggest me

The S95 is pretty solid in broad daylight, but it might struggle at night. The shots get pretty grainy
Not really my first choice unless you don’t mind how lofi these photos look.
Check them here:

For $100 though, I think I would just stick to my iPhone tbh. Once again, unless you dig the lofi late 2010s look.

The Olympus is actually not bad, but that is double the price:

If you can get that at $200, I think it would be a good deal

Maaaaan I wanna get to shooting photos again smh. I got a Cannon Rebel T6 I think it is called but it was a gift years ago.
Looking to get into casual photography, mostly landscapes from whatever area I'm in.
Have read that dslrs are being phased out by manufacturers and mirrorless is getting pushed but still not sure what the difference really is besides battery life and how the actual photo is taken.
If anyone has recommendations or general advice when buying a camera I'd appreciate it
Sony alpha a7 series or Fujifilm xt series. Get an older model imo rather than the latest to save some money.I have both but bc I usually use film, I’d recommend xt series from a digital standpoint bc I think it’s a more fun shooting experience. Sony has Zeiss lens you can purchase tho.

lens goes to 80mm max compared to the one in the pic that maxes out at 70mm when you zoom
nothing spectacular, but it’s a good point & shoot. lens is probably good but isn’t as sharp as some other p&s cameras since its a cheaper model zoom. doesnt matter much in the grand scheme of things
remember that a***og cameras are just vessels for the film inside. film got incredible quality no matter the camera and digital only recently surpassed 35mm film. probably took almost 2 decades

i rarely shoot color so i’m not sure. its good film im sure, since its kodak film designed for cinema use.
cinestill removes a layer off the film so it causes halations (a glow or halo around light sources), which im not a fan of so i havent shot any Cs
