I was thinking a lot yesterday, and with there being 363 chapters (as well as the unnumbered ones) I was gonna start rereading a chapter a day and spread it out throughout the year. I thought it fit too well not to, and maybe to keep the thread really active over this period there could be a daily or weekly chapter discussion. Either 1 chapter a day or like 7 once a week. Probably doing the unnumbered ones all in one go for the first week. Depends on which people preferred and if they wanted to, everyone would be free to go at their own pace ofc
I like this, I'm in
@wes Do you think this sounds like a good idea?
hit it up, seems like a good idea given it being a chapter/day for a year
keeps the thread active and discussion going.
i'd do the reread rn as well, but i'm working my way through one piece

Wanna see what all the hype is about, rip to the creator Iāve seen a lot about his death, this series clearly has had an impact on people

imo the 1997 anime, the 3rd movie, and then read the manga for the rest
the 97 anime covers one arc and it ends on a cliffhanger
the movie trilogy basically covers the same thing the 1997 anime does but they cut some parts off to fit the runtime. the third movie shows a little bit of what happens after the cliffhanger of the 97 anime

S*** if he has to read it at some point might as well read it all imo
Been reading this over literally half my life and Iām turning 26 this year. Devastated. My only solace is that we were able to get cascaās memory back. RIP to the goat of goats. No one will ever do it like him again.

Dude just read it. Nothing can compare to his art. Itās the same issue Araki had with jojo for years until david productions were able to adapt it faithfully.

my only problem with berserk is that its author never got to see a proper modern adaptation
I know he obviously knew what an impact his work had on so many people, but it canāt be overstated how inspiring and beautiful his ideas and art were. Berserk to me was everything you could want in the manga art form, and yet delivered so much more. Of course there was tragedy, darkness, nihilism and overall despair. And yet like many others I knew it was always about hope, and the struggle of finding those moments of light in the darkness, causality be damned. I remember being in awe of those panels, and wondering how one man had so much talent. RIP king, your work and legacy live on.
