Yeah a lot of talent came out in 2011 but I don't think any of their best work came in that year so I don't hold it as high

how did the mixing of music shift?

I was an EDM kid and early 2010s were massive. By the end of the 2010s s*** had died down so bad. But a lot of legends were still dropping classics 2010-2012

in what way did the mixing change

Super stale/stiff bass started catching on, less attention to detail in general, muddy mixes because songs were getting pissed out so frequently off a trend or a snippet they didn’t care to clean it up. A lot of the stuff I’ve listened to sounded a lot dryer

General laziness I guess? Hand in hand with instant gratification social media era

just wondering what type of stuff you usually listen to?

I thought mixes sound much clearer and we're almost out of the loudness war because CDs and Radio are almost irrelevant and stuff gets mixed with Bluetooth headphones in mind
