First hour of Napoleon was truly amazing but hour 2-3 could not figure out what was going on, too many french historical figures that I kept having to look up doing too much and just couldn't stay interested. Robespierres introduction looks exactly like Will Ferrell trying to hold in laughter during a ridiculous SNL skit tho you'll know it when you see it
I didn’t know movies even existed in 1927 let alone where to find them.
You'll never have a better 45 minutes than when you watch this mastapiece written, directed and starring genius wizard Buster Keaton who packs more charm, danger and creativity into this than most big budget films these days. This was early in his career but the dude was nearly suicidal with the stunts he did himself, usually the crew would look away when filming especially dangerous scenes cause they didn't want his death imprinted on their psyches
