Man oh man even if you "aren't interested in touching the politics in this", I can't believe how lame and annoying 4 hours of Scarlett/Ashley/Rhett love triangle was

gf and I just wanted to strangle Scarlett for the entire runtime. Crammed 4 hours of character development into the last 2 minutes for her.

Also the politics were horrid (then and now) and this was hardly better than Birth Of A Nation
