Whats sad is when i saw this thread pop up again earlier today, it made me think about how few pre-1960s films i've actually watched this year.

I watched a few 30s films between August and September. But the last time i watched something from the 50s was in July. Last time i saw a 40s film was April. About same for 20s and prior

Gave me the itch to dive back into those decades since they used to make up a huge chunk of what I'd watch any given month haha

Lol nah i always post my "starting" list, and my plan is to post my list again towards the end of the film year to see what ive watched from that period and if anything has been knocked out of my top spots.

Unfortunately life has made me forget to come back to post the updated lists for the past few film years (and posting on this site in general outside of s***posts in random threads) and i struggle to find the time to watch as many films in general

cant believe I didnt think if it sooner. actually I think I did but I was still making bank with my concentrate business and was scared of the insane long days they do when shooting. my side biz finally slowed right down thanks to prohibition ending

and I found out pre-production hours aren't as mental

Oh i thought your whole set job was only pre-production for some reason. Well thats even cooler that you get a taste of both worlds like that.

Also am I delusional or was it you that also use to paint sometimes while tripping and stuff? I swear my memory is telling me you've always painted/drawn stuff and even shared pics with us in the past.

nah it is is all pre-production so far. some guys stay on during shooting but its a skeleton crew.

nah im never paint while tripping lol and the closest thing to making art ive done in eons was those mini album/poster art replicas I used to draw in my calendar. I was doing my first deep deep dive into world cinema and alot of new rock subgeneras at that time so it was a new masterpiece every other day for a good half decade

that was like 2013-2016

Yessss that calendar is exactly what my memory was trying to put together haha. Damn i miss those monthly calendar pics you used to share. Good times

But the real question is... how many times have you been painting setpiece and grabbed a 2mm brush to sneak a tiny "zerkalo" or "cazzata malanga" somewhere on it?
