so many scrapped albums during that era across the industry
it’s unfair lol
Dro / Rich had another album slated?
this post remind me of the cd section in the best buy etc sales booklet s***s niggas mommas used to have
“Rhythm and Grooves”
Dro / Rich had another album slated?
both respective lead singles before they got scrapped
yung la never got to put an album out either smh
It's easily one of these two
Graduation Id maybe go for but thats kind of the default pick for our age range lol. Idk if its truly music better than Cool oR F&L or is it the whole package of what it culturally represents ?
C3 i hated on for years compared to his prior work but finally relistened and its highs are a lot higher than i remember but a good amount of what i consider filler at the time tho they dominated youtube / 106 lol
A song like got money culturally has to be there but do i really wanna hear that randomly playing an album? 106 and park-core music but wayne a legend lol
this album got some trash but the highs
I run this s*** back all the time too. Just good rapping not super corny and positive yet not extra street either

If we're talking mainstream rap Graduation has some of the biggest singles period and they've aged extremely well
That album really never went out of style
C3 is more for the moment it represents being Wayne's commercial peak more so than the album itself but they're both classics

Wow thanks for showing me im finna see how much of each i can find.
I wanted to hear Yung LA album too. He used to have some cuts on his tapes and along wit Rich Kidz is an important transitional artist from like T Pain/Wayne vibes to where Future took it lol. Aint I one of the hardest debut singles
They coulda put him a nice lil regional gem together man lol
Rock, country and folk would never get treated this way
I really do feel like American Gangster is overrated despite a couple of my favorite Jay songs (the Neptunes ones)
Idk man something about his flow on this irritates me
see (C) three, three peat 😏
Thats definitely the best intro here lol. Gotta run that back a few times everytime you play it
For niggas who was older and saw Wayne run in full from wobble dee wobble dee all the way thru Dipset Clipse cosplay to now undoubtedly being the top rapper in the game i know that first listen was crazy

!https://youtu.be/mkUUlTZHYw8nigga had fantasia brother on his s*** and they said no lmfao you hate to see it
and it’s not like it flopped that bad
Real as f***
I always wondered why he and Young Dro didnt have much more impactful careers they both had the talent
rich boy had the unfortunate position to be signed to a decently big but not massive producer in the late 00’s so he couldn’t get a massive budget for his follow up album and none of the singles really caught on by the time he got dropped and started releasing on his own he lost his steam
Even though he VP A&R at QC and can change this i felt like this tie in lol
Who knew rap would get here (the old heads who hated wayne)
i been listening to a lot of older music and i think part of why so much music feels like it lacks soul or identity is because so many producers use the same sounds, drums, etc that everything sounds kind of homogenized
i really gotta listen to more lupe i feel like when i was really young i liked kick push and his songs with kanye and pharrell but as time went on i only knew him as an outspoken hater and only added a few of his songs to my rotation but everyone for years been saying food and liquor and the cool are all time classics
