I know Northeast America is like the home of the prep but they're racist over there, especially Boston. I like the prep lifestyle but not some of the ideas ingrained. Any places in America where you can live that lifestyle without all the hang-ups, as a poc, no pun intended?

    Edit: Potential contenders:

    Dallas (North Dallas)

    Atlanta

    Bay Area (Expensive)

    Charlotte

    Nashville

    SC Greenville

    LA

    Savannah, Georgia

    Austin, TX

What's the best place for a creative black middle class fellow to live? Climate is a problem but the vibe must be right. I have an allergy to racist places

Dallas sounds pretty nice but isn't it all cowboys over there? Atlanta's cool but I'm looking for a more integrative place. What about Seattle? Are they cool there?

Maybe the Bay. It ain't what it used to be and it's expensive AF now, but the creative vibe is like no other. But I'm from Oakland so I'm biased

This country was built off the back of racism bro bro sadly its not a place in this country truly free from it

You mentioned Boston, its a very small but really dense city. We got artsy fartsy neighborhoods like Kenmore, Brighton, some parts of Dorchester, and then surrounding cities like Cambridge (lots of brick, young city, lots of interesting characters) and Brockton (so many up and coming artists of all types come from here. Hella cool people, but the city is f***ing awful)

I don’t assume any place is gonna be more “accepting”

I’m looking at better healthcare, education, a place that isn’t a police state, etc.

America trash to raise a family in

So the amenites of the city are trash or the general contending attitudes regarding racism? The bus not coming on time is different from everybody being cold (not a racist thing but you feel it a bit more acutely if youre a poc) until you have a conversation with them and you both realize you're actually cool people

Oakland sounds hype, is it a small city cafe going party at night vibe over there? Not sure what it's like but I'm open
