Unfortunately it was The Kinks that I learned my hard lesson about chronological method on in my earliest days of getting into classic rock I got a double album best-of with a totally clusterfucked sequencing that was really confusing to me at the time and made me realize I need to start at the beginning. So I've heard all the later hits but not for a long ass time.
