    Elvis always catches s*** for not writing his own material, and indeed he admitted he would trade everything to be able to write like Chuck Berry.... but this is one of the only he songs he ever wrote while in mourning after his mum passed away and its one of the most haunting ballads ive heard him or anybody sing he was a massive mama's boy and never really recovered from the loss

    I guess the label Fats was on for like 15 years folded in '63 and his contract was sold to another label and he was issued new producers and songwriters this current batch I'm on is probably the last of his classic era. Only got maybe 2 more years till all the 50s cats can't compete with the British Invasion anymore except Elvis a bit later on
