I missed 1961, but this is one of the most perfect pop songs ever written.

Albums. He doesn’t have that many
Good thing this is the Song thread
he has bangers
The early Impressions albums were pretty good tbh, about as good as Motown was churning out.
im not too deep into the surf tbh only the main classics. been meaning to get more into it some time.
dionne warwick kinda hit or miss with me so far (maybe a bit too loungey/traditional pop-esque) but that song and especially Walk On By are really great
glad you got me back on Dionne cause Dont Make Me Over b/w I Smiled Yesterday is definitely a classic debut single

Also have you gone in on Curtis Mayfield and The Impressions for his aforementioned Hendrix (your goat) influence?

Realised I only really listen to classical music from 62' but here are some cuts I really enjoy.

classical and jazz a big blind spot for me and kinda too daunting to research like the more familiar genres so keep em coming
im pretty basic, handful of Miles (Sketches my fave) and a few other randoms "goat" jazz albums. Guys like Sun Ra and Mingus seem really interesting but i dont have much luck finding a way in.
Overall compositions are fine if its in one piece. by the late 60s alot of my favourite songs are 10+ mins.
