My grandmother always was playing Patsy Cline when I went over. This was one of her favourites My grandfather was a huge The Beach Boys & Johnny Cash fan, he really enjoyed the matador and showed me that one. so I just kinda kept that music around.

Farm I grew up on was like 40 minutes out of town and we'd crank Patsy and have family singalongs on the drive

Sounds like an epic drive full of good wholesome music and singalongs. Thank you for sharing that memory. I found grandma & I singing patsy cline when we went camping. We did a lot of camping when I was younger. They use to always bring out the acoustic guitars and have a few drinks and karaoke.

What do we think of the Ray movie? @Elric I was thinking of doing a rewatch soon. Either way this is from 1963
I’m sure this was posted but one of my favourite Elvis songs from 63

!https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_GanoEE7VUcWhen I was early in this thread I rewatched every biopic
they're formulaic and it's super rare an actor can really embody a musician but Ray is pretty great. Doesn't try and portay him as and saint. Nobody could've done it better than Jamie, especially after getting Rays blessing in person.
Joaquin same thing
Buddy Holly movie pretty good
Jerry Lee Lewis the worst portrayal of all time
Elvis tv movie starring young Kurt Russell as Elvis is worth a look too.... especially since he experienced Elvis' aura in person when they acted together when he was a kid

Jamie is one of my favourite actors as well, I think
I’m going to rewatch soon because I’ve been meaning to and hearing this makes me want to watch again for sure. I remember it being really good just I was still a bit young to appreciate so I’m going to actually try now so I can have a good idea of not of what I’m watching. I’ll check out the Elvis one for sure.
Thank you, I’m thankful she is still around.
